It’s Official, Valkyria Chronicles 3 for PSP is Not Being Localized

In an interview with GameSpot, Sega’s team manager of console sales, Hiroshi Seno confirmed what many Valkyria Chronicles fans (myself included) must have been expecting: Valkyria Chronicles 3 won’t be coming out on the PSP in English. Due to overall poor sales of Valkyria Chronicles II [which was great, imo – Chakan] and the declining Western PSP market, Sega have made the decision that it’s just not worth it.

Valkyria Chronicles III took the series away from the military academy setting of VC2 and straight into commanding a ragtag band of former criminals. It sounded pretty cool and I was digging what I saw of it, personally.

There is one small ray of hope left at the moment, according to the interview.

When asked whether the game would be out as a downloadable title on the upcoming PlayStation Vita system, Seno said the company would make a concrete decision the next time it meets with Sony.

We can only hope!
