Skies of Arcadia Review

Skies of Arcadia was a shining light of hope on the Dreamcast. One of the few Dreamcast RPGs to grace the Western shores, SoA bucked the current trend of emo, overly-effeminate characters wandering around in “dark” science fiction settings. Instead, it provided a bright, diverse cast of characters and a world where people sailed on airships to travel to varied locales. It was basically the anti-FFVII for those of us who remembered that console RPGs didn’t have to be that way. During your travels, you explored floating islands, took control of airship-to-airship battles, took bounties for exploring the world, and experienced a light-hearted adventure.

A much fuller review will be here one day.
