Media Create reports that Shin Megami Tensei IV FINAL (真・女神転生IV FINAL) topped the charts, debuting at number one with 96,349 units sold. It’s no big surprise, as it was one of the two big new releases for the week. For reference, the original Shin Megami Tensei IV‘s first week saw 188,562 copies sold.
The other big new release was Valkyria Chronicles Remaster (戦場のヴァルキュリア リマスター , Senjou no Valkyria Remaster), which came it at the third spot with 24,156 units sold. This doesn’t seem that wonderful at first, but for a remake release in Japan, it’s sold numbers.
Sega’s other big remake Yakuza Kiwami (龍が如く：極 , Ryu Ga Gotoku: Kiwami) saw 4,973 and 4,204 units moved for the PS3 and PS4 versions, respectively. That puts the PS4 version at 135,766 lifetime Japanese sales and the PS3 edition at 90,234. Not bad!
