Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX has sold 24k copies in America from September 8th to September 30th.
While a sales number like 24,000 units sounds super low, one has to keep in mind that the investment for localizing it for the Nintendo 3DS is much, much lower than a game like Yakuza 5 for the PS3.
Also, keep in mind that sales of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f in 2013 racked up about 13,000 copies. Sega were pleased enough with sales of that number to go forward and bring North America more Miku action, so we’ll have to assume that 24,000 copies in just the first 22 days is a good thing.
Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX was an updated version of Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 intended for worldwide release.
