Gunstar Super Heroes Overview

Gunstar Super Heroes (ガンスタースーパーヒーローズ) is a sequel to the classic Sega Genesis run-and-gun Gunstar Heroes for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance.

The two-player mode that was a riot in the original game is not present in Super Heroes, unfortunately. Also changed is Gunstar Heroes‘ weapon combining system. Now characters come with 3 stock guns that you can change on the fly.

These changes aside, Super Heroes ends up feeling like a portable remix of the original. You’ll recognize many elements from the first game’s stages as you make your way through it.

The game is still quite enjoyable and fans of the original Gunstar Heroes should definitely check it out.
